I just love the combination of greys and yellow. When I posed this still life, the lily leaf were fresh and soft. By the time I got to painting it, it shrunk into 30% of its original size and looked like a dried prune. Gah. Luckily, I took a photo.
I am still trying to come to terms with the new style I am exploring. I am very much annoyed with the small canvas size, I am so used to painting on larger canvases since I paint murals for a living. Squinting and sitting still while painting just doesn't suit me. I love moving about when I paint. Haha.
